Day 1: It All Starts With God

It's not about me. That's today's point to ponder. I think the one thing that struck me from today's reading was this phrase, "God is not just the starting point of your life; He is the source of it." How often do we stop and consider the fact that none of us would be here without the grace of God? He carries me from moment to moment, from glory to glory. Every breath I take is by His grace and mercy.

I tried pondering the statement, "it's not about me," and I pondered today's question, "In spite of all the advertising around me, how can I remind myself that life is really about living for God, not myself?" I kept coming up empty until I was skimming over today's reading and the phrase, "God is not just the starting point of your life; He is the source of it." and after reading over the paragraph I just wrote above, I realized the way to remind myself that life is about living for God and not myself is to focus on Him and remember that He is the source of my life and without His grace and mercy I would not be here.
