40 Days of Purpose

My church is participating in a 40 day program called 40 Days of Purpose. It's based on the book, The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren. Everything that I've heard about this program so far is that it will be a life changing experience. I'm excited about the program and I'm really looking forward to doing the daily readings, etc.

I attended the first of 5 or 6 small group studies this evening. Everyone was very open and honest about their experiences and I hope this turns out to be a truly life changing experience for me. To that end, I've decided to blog my experiences. I don't know if it will help anyone who reads them, it may turn out to be just so much drivel. But I feel strongly that I need to participate and I need to write down what I'm experiencing during this time.

This is the beginning of a new and exciting spiritual journey. I want to write down this date and remember it, I want to be able to look back and see how far I've come. I want to be able to say that on this date, my life began to change. God give me the grace, the courage, the strength, and fortitude to take these first steps on the way to a changed life. I'm fully expecting God to do a work in my life by means of these 40 days.
